Main job purpose

 

Multi skilled in all the equipments in the Edge Shop processing areas as well as assisting in the screen line area.

 

Main Objective

 

  • Buffing out of cosmetic scratches
  • Assisting in processing area, like Polishing, Screen Line, Arissing and Drilling
  • Comply to all safety rules
  • Adhere to all activities in processing department
  • Ensure that all products are handled and packed correctly to required specifications.
  • Accountable for safety and housekeeping in your department
  • Report and record all breakages and defective glass to the Team Leader
  • Ensuring that tools are stored safely 
  • Maintaining and cleaning of equipment
  • Report any defects on machinery
  • Understanding and reading of drawings and job cards/labels
  • Ensure that all quality standards are adhered to
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Following of all work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to environmental rules
  • Required to operate the crane

  • Basic understanding of the machenical/ electrical operating system of a cutting machine

 

Experience

 

  • 1 year glass processing experience
  • Glass handling and quality control
