Vacancy: Buyer Indirect – Shatterprufe Ga-Rankuwa

• Reports To: Planning and Logistics Manager

Main Job Purpose

• Accountable for sourcing and procurement of consumables and engineering spares.
• Manage stock movement and stock control.
• Support production through effective purchasing.
• Reduce procurement costs.
• Drive BBBEE compliance.

Main Objectives

• Support internal clients through strategic sourcing and procurement.
• Ensure continuous supply of consumables and engineering spares.
• Monitor and manage procurement activities and documentation to improve Group BBBEE rating.
• Review APO system (customer releases) to plan future production stock requirements.
• Coordinate and verify procurement and invoicing to ensure suppliers and contractors are paid accurately and on time.
• Manage consumables store stock to meet ongoing plant requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage the stores team by directing activities, monitoring performance, and developing staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Diploma in Procurement or Inventory Management.

Knowledge Requirements

• Microsoft Office.
• BBBEE procurement standards and scorecard.
• Storekeeping and stock control principles.

Experience Required

• 3–5 years' procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years' experience managing subordinates.
• Minimum 3 years' automotive procurement experience.
