Main Objective
Ensure that bulk receiving is effectively coordinated and controlled by checking that 100% of goods are received according to policy and best practice, stored and packed correctly and GRV and other relevant documentation is completed accurately.
Ensure that all stock received is to be processed and accurately stored within the agreed time frames.
Effectively manage staff by conducting performance reviews and one on ones and ensuring 100% of staff are trained and qualified to conduct their work effectively.
Ensure on time dispatch of MRP as per schedules as well as optimize stock levels to ensure quantity needed vs supplied is correct at all times.
Ensure all monthly reports are submitted and unexplained losses are investigated from the suspense report.
Monitor and control in-transit stock account and investigate problematic areas daily to ensure accuracy.
Facilitate morning meeting and provide detailed feedback to team on outcomes discussed to ensure effective communication.
Ensure that super sessions relating to relabeling and adjustments are done within the agreed time frame with 100% accurate administration and documentation relating to the process to ensure accurate control.
Ensure accurate stock control by inspecting damaged stock, supervise all cages to ensure stock is removed accordingly, stock is returned and binned correctly and monitoring stock levels by managing urgent put-aways from goods received.
Ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.
Critical job requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in Logistics
- Grade 12
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in a warehousing environment
- 3 years relevant warehouse/logistics experience
- 2 years people management experience at Team Leader Level
- Exposure to IR related matters
