Shatterprufe® products are installed by Original Motor manufacturers in Southern Africa.
Main job purpose
- To facilitate and coordinate all SHEQ policies by ensuring that Site and all Contractors comply with set legislation, and to monitor compliance against SHEQ standards and requirements so as to promote safety and quality as a core organisational value. To facilitate and coordinate all quality and customer specific requirements to ensure products, process and systems meet customer expectations, provide support to manufacturing site to ensure that all quality systems and quality standards are complied with in order to support Shatterprufe's strategic plan and to supply world class quality products.
Main Objective
- Drive site compliance with all quality systems, process and procedures in order to meet internal and customer-specific requirements.
- To ensure FPA audits are conducted to identify and correct non-conformance to prevent reoccurrence.
- As a customer liaison, ensure that systems are in place and monitored to adequately address customer complaints and quality concerns to ensure delivery of quality product.
- To support and facilitate NPD's time to market through timeous support of ISER's and other relevant evaluation and documents to meet target date or deadlines.
- To review and approve ISER's documentation as completed by FPA Auditors to ensure compliance to Shatterprufe quality standards.
- To conduct product audits as per customer requirements and to communicate results both internally and to the customer to drive improvement and adherence to customer specification.
- To coordinate and facilitate internal and external SHE and Quality audits to ensure that all requirements applicable to the automotive industry are achieved and maintained throughout the whole supply chain, on an ongoing basis.
- To identify, investigate and resolve Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality related problems, using world class problem solving techniques, to ensure that SHEQ standards are maintained; overall customer satisfaction is achieved; and organisational brand integrity is up-held.
- To analyse all incidences, accidents and near misses by gathering information related to all injuries and to provide preventative and corrective actions in order to promote Health & Safety in the workplace per the OSH Act standards and requirement.
- To liaise and build effective working relationship with key stakeholders; including suppliers and customers; in order to improve supplier efficiencies and quality to ensure overall customer satisfaction in relation to quality standards.
- To ensure that all QMS and customer specific requirements are integrated, communicated and implement within the organisation thereby ensuring full legal and customer compliance, on an ongoing basis.
- To plan and manage auditors’ activities, monitor their performance and develop staff accordingly, to ensure that product targets are continuously achieved on a daily basis.
- Conducting observations and assessments of systems and people with the aim of alleviating risks to health and injury to the person or damage to the property in line with Governmental Legislation and Company requirements.
- To assist in the development and implementation of emergency response procedures and evacuation plans that leads to the timeous and safe evacuation of the Site when required.
- Ensure effective Waste Management in line with legal requirements and world class benchmarks to ensure Shatterprufe remains a sustainable business and responsible employer.
- To ensure staff are effectively managed and held accountable through performance and disciplinary procedures, and that staff are developed and mentored through the talent management and IDP processes to drive capability in the business.
- To ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.
Critical job requirements
- Grade 12
- B Tech Degree in Quality or equivalent
- NOSA Affiliation
- Certified Auditor
- 5 years experience as Quality Technician
- 3 years systems experience in an automotive industry
- 2 years leadership experience
- 5 years experience within the automotive manufacturing industry
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Quality Management System requirements in terms of IATF
- Knowledge of ISO 14000 and ISO 18000 standards
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques
- Working knowledge of customer / industry requirements
- Knowledge and experience in Auditing practices and systems
- Knowledge of principles, practices, procedures and equipment related to OHS environment
- Working knowledge of core auditing tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP)
- Methods used in Accident and Incident investigations, analysis and reporting
